Filling a snack brand’s innovation pipeline
A snack brand needed new ideas in the benefit areas it had chosen to grow in. We turned those areas into platforms for ideas, ran a workshop with its team and consumers, then developed the strongest ideas into concepts.

- Ideation platforms, a workshop with consumers and concept development for a pipeline
The question
The brand had chosen the benefits it wanted to grow in, and needed ideas in each that it could develop from its existing business.
The ideas had to be screened before any were developed, so the team would spend its development time on the ones that deserved it.
Our approach
We turned each benefit area into a platform for ideas, with springboards and a library of products, packs, ingredients and processes to spark them, then ran a workshop where the client team created ideas alongside consumers chosen for their creativity.
After the company’s own screen, we wrote the leading ideas as concepts with pack renders and refined them in groups with the brand’s buyers and with people who buy its competitors.
What the team came away with
Developed concepts with pack renders, an ideas book recording everything the workshop produced, and briefs for the pack design work to follow.
Because the team had created the ideas with consumers in the room, the concepts it took forward were ones it already understood.
